Some more playing around with Painter. I stuck with the oil brush, and I found a blender that I liked. We learned about surface textures, papers and patterns, so I tried to use those a little. I am immensley proud of myself for finding a place to use the Glow brush. Though sadly, did not manage to get in a bit of the super awesome Liquid Metal... lol.
Are you taking a computer class of some sort? I am looking for a university or college with type of class and have had a hard time finding one....
ReplyDeleteNo, not taking any computer classes. I work in an office with several other artists, and we took two days out of work to have some lessons in Painter. Our Art Director - Don Seegmiller, does tutorials and classes for Corel, so we were pretty lucky to have him around to show us the software.
ReplyDeleteMaryn, I appreciate how everything in your paintings has a purpose. Even the background seems to lend life to the image. This background is ominous, which totally lends itself to the girl who will one day be a lawyer or a gym teacher. You can tell by the look in her eye.
ReplyDeleteThanks folks.
ReplyDeletenoelap - I think I used the Grainy Water blender, at least that's the one I have on my little brush palette. I haven't quite found a blender i really like, so i haven't used them as much.
