This is awesome! Is this a digital illustration? It looks so much like colored pencil! If it's digital, are you using different Photoshop brushes than you normally use?
heh - thanks sam! in my over-obsessive research to find a simple picture of a banjo, learned there was an old banjo-making company called Bacon (appropriate!). And they had a special inlay dragon on the head called the Chubby Dragon. Figured that was an awesome pirate name!
Heya nate. same brushes, just trying to keep it fast and sketchy. I think after all the insane cross-hatching in Magic Trick, got in the habit of being more scribbly. What a good made-up word... scribbly!
