major award

I recently got an email informing me Colorful Sleepy Sheep won a Moonbeam Children's Book Award bronze medal in the board book category. Cool - I didn't know it had even been entered. Congrats to author Rory Zuckerman! I actually worked on this book about 4 years ago, but it has a new publisher now, and I guess will be released soon. It was a great project to work on. Hopefully these sell well and we simply have to do another set!

Here is one of the interiors - which is seasonally appropriate. I kinda got carried away with the sheep puns for their costumes. Can you figure them all out?

There's Sheep in Wolves Clothing
Little Bo Sheep
The prisoner is On the Lamb
Is that a Jack O'Lambtern?
Elvis and the rest have me stumped. Sorry.

So when can we buy it???

I'm not even going to try to guess...I really stink at puns. But now you've got me thinking, so i bet I can't sleep b/c of it! ha ha.

Is that a rack of lamb??

Hey Shar - I guess I should actually post the answers, eh? Flea got some of them (good on ya). And I supposed they aren't all literally puns, just sheep-related.

bomber jacket guy - Black Sheep Squadron from WWII

Dolly parton - dolly the first cloned sheep

Cheerleader - Ewe-niveristy

Elvis - he has lamb chop sideburns

The rest flea got right, but the big pumpkin doesn't have anything to do with sheep. It was just the costume mentioned in the poem that I had to illustrate.
